Snovember Dumps Record Snowfall on the West

Early-season snowfall broke records in many areas of the west this November, opening ski resorts and filling in backcountry zones earlier than normal. The Tahoe region saw Squaw Valley reporting their biggest November on record with 124 inches, and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) also declared a record-breaking 130 inches. JHMR dubbed the month Snovember.
