If you have driven, biked or walked up Meridian Blvd. in Mammoth Lakes in the past few days you have probably seen this bear. Actually there are two bears and I am wondering if there are any cubs on the way. The bears are a new creation by local artist Josh Slater.
The bears were designed for a condominium complex on the corner of Azimuth, but they are welcomed members of the community. According to a resident, the complex has been planning on this lounging bear for 28 years. So, to welcome our new friends, let’s have a name the bears contest!
