New to Mammoth? With 28 chairlifts accessing more than 3,500 skiable acres, and 3,100 vertical feet of skiing and riding, it’s good to learn your way around. Arching skyward in California’s Eastern Sierra, the resort is surrounded by an ocean of mountains and wilderness. From the summit you’ll find an abundance of expert pitches, from wide-open bowls to steep chutes and cliffs. Lower down, buffed out groomers roll on forever. And near the base, beginner slopes and all manner of terrain parks keep the scene lively. All that, plus an average of 400 inches of snowfall each winter and 300 days of sunshine annually.
